About me

I’m 34 years old, based in Hamburg and shaped by my Palestinian migration background. For many years, I’ve worked in the field of social work, supporting people through challenging life situations– a role that is both meaningful and deeply important to me.

In my main profession, I work at Jugendsozialarbeit Schanzenviertel e.V., a youth welfare organization based in Hamburg, where I provide counseling and coaching to young adults as they navigate their paths toward employment and independence. I’m also involved in youth work with refugee children and teenagers.

My personal, professional, and academic background in Political Science (B.A., Freie Universität Berlin) and Development Studies and Social Movements (M.Sc., SOAS London) enables me to bring social, structural, and cultural perspectives into my work as a systemic counselor and therapist.

My Approach

In my work, I offer individual support grounded in a systemic perspective and a strong awareness of social issues. My approach is guided by the following core values:

  • Respect & Recognition – Every person is unique and deserves to be seen as such.

  • Ressource Orientation – I help clients identify and strengthen their own abilities and inner resources.

  • Empowerment – My work focuses on expanding people’s sense of agency and choice.

  • Awareness of Discrimination and Social Inequality – integrating a critical understanding of power dynamics and societal structures into coaching sessions
